Acceptance
By accessing or using Players Nearby, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and guests who join sessions without an account.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use Players Nearby. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login credentials secure and do not share access with others.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit profile. This immediately and permanently removes all your personal data.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Players Nearby to:
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent session information.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the platform without permission.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems.
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Sessions and content
You retain ownership of the content you post (session details, profile information, bios). By posting it, you grant Players Nearby a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it to other users as part of the service.
Sessions you create are visible to the public. Do not include private or sensitive information in session titles or descriptions.
Physical activity disclaimer
Players Nearby is a platform for connecting people who want to play sports together. We do not organise, supervise, or attend sessions. We are not responsible for what happens at any session, including injuries, property damage, or disputes between participants.
Participation in physical activity carries inherent risk. By joining or hosting a session, you accept that risk and take personal responsibility for your own safety and wellbeing.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Players Nearby is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, missed sessions, or disputes with other users.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Players Nearby after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from your use of Players Nearby will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
